PETER’S ALLEY IS NOW ACCEPTING NON-EQUITY ACTOR SUBMISSIONS FOR OUR SEPTEMBER 2019 PRODUCTION OF
THE GULF BY AUDREY CEFALY
The divide between Kendra and Betty mimics the very world that devours them: a vast and polarizing abyss. On a quiet summer evening, somewhere down in the Alabama Delta, Kendra and Betty troll the flats looking for red fish. After Betty begins diagnosing Kendra’s dead-end life with career picks from What Color is Your Parachute, their routine fishing excursion takes a violent turn. (Samuel French)
KENDRA – (20’s-40’s) A woman of few words. A loner. Scrappy, dark, brutish, and volatile.
They want what we all want. To find peace. Two lost and lonely people, six years into a volatile, troubled love affair, and then one night, it breaks. Badly. I felt it was vital that the plot not be the twists and turns brought on by outside incursions but the runaway mine train of their dying relationship (Audrey Cefaly)
Note: The Gulf includes both intimate and violent physical contact that will be fully, safely and respectfully choreographed.
All roles paid.
